Tanjung Piai was chosen as our first series of our dxpeditions because of its uniqueness. It is situated at the southern most tip of peninsula Malaysia which also makes it the Southern Most Tip of Mainland Asia. It is also a mangrove site where nature activists are working hard to preserve.

The location is a national park under the administration of Johor Parks Corporation (http://johorparks.com.my/the-parks/tanjung-piai/)

The Apparatus Assignment was given specifically for Tanjung Piai. A sign board with the callsign 9M4STE hangs at the foyer of Tanjung Piai Johor Parks Corporation office.

THANKS FOR THE DONATED ITEMS BY HAMS ALL AROUND TO KAMPUNG SEGAMAT KECIL !

The buka puasa event was great with many HAM stations from a few states at segamat kecil. The kampung people  prepared a special rendang and the wild hutan vegetable ("umbut ?") was a rare treat ! excellent!!

Its been 3 years since our convoy of 15 vehicles from united amateur radios KL delivered donated goods during the johor flood 2007. The kampung has done well now with assistance from government and private sector . Houses relocated and some on stilts.
