FIRST SHIFT 3 PM TO 9 PM
SECOND SHIFT 9 PM TO MIDNIGHT
THIRD SHIFT MID NIGHT 12 TO MORNING 10 AM

We really need communication volunteers during the peak time from 3pm to 10 pm. 30 May.

OBJECTIVE OF RELAY FOR LIFE :
Relay for Life KL2009 ‘giving hope, celebrating life!'

To create awareness and celebrate the advances in cancer, knowing that more cancers are being prevented and for those with cancer, more lives are being saved. We remember the loved ones lost and vow to fight back to make a difference in the lives of the future generation. In addition, the event is to raise funds for cancer research and treatment.

Registration of comm. volunteers
Please register upon arrival at Stadium MSN bukit Jalil at Comm Center located at control room behind the stage. Fill up the forms and sign in. Parking will be in public area at Gate B. Vendors and selected comm. Volunteers will have car stickers for Gate C.

Please come as early as 2pm. Briefing about the event and duties of all full time main comm volunteers at 4 pm. Late arrivals will be brief upon registration.

Frequency allocation
Calling Channel for direction to the stadium and comm center is V40 (145.500)

Comm volunteer to prepare as follows:-
· Register and get the comm volunteer tags from comm. center
· Handy – fully charged
· Spare batteries
· Handy Chargers
· Whistle - optional
· Rain coat incase it rains
· Bring along telescopic antennas .. should the need arise..
· Note pad to write and communicate -- as you may be based where the music is loud. Volunteer must write down important messages or out of ordinary messages relayed/received, date, time and message......
· Ear phones for handy - very important
· Ear plugs - when needed
· Torch as it is an all night event
· Spare clothes incase you need to change.
· Camp beds or sleep bags
· Light battons - optional - to direct crowds at night during stage activities.
· Wear proper attire for amateur radio eg callsign vest , club T shirts, Caps , reflective is possible...
· Bring a long banners , club signs for the parade at the beginning (6PM) and end (10 am) of event make ourselves known. All the clubs join together and Lets parade as one team “1Amateur radio”
