I KNOW MANY WANTED TO JOIN THIS EVENT BUT REGRET TO INFORM THAT THIS EVENT IS POSTPONE DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES.
WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED OF THE NEW DATE AFTER RAYA.
Above is a qsl card from 9M2FX in the 50's to a HAM in france.
Antennae party ! to help an old HAM complete his antennae tower.
9M2FX (formerly known as VS2FX) Pak Kamal from Muar, is a 71 year old bachelor and lives alone in Bandar Maharani. He received his transmitting license way back in the 50s.His antennae tower has been standing half completed for the past 5 years. He managed to erect half the tower and the other half is still lying in his shack, though already complete. So the remaining part of the tower needs our help to put them together . Recently, group of HAMS visited him recently and decided that, in the spirit of ham, we should help Kamal fulfill his dream. Therefore we are gathering fellow hams from near and far together and do an antennae party at his house. We plan to have a pot luck or pool funds for makan2 …BBQ?before the coming fasting month starts. Our plan is to have it on the15 and 16 Aug weekend . Those who are interested (from KL) contact

.. We can car pool / convoy to get there. It would be a great opportunity to eyeball with HAMs in Muar and at the same time help an old HAM complete his dream. What say you?
Tentatively plan:
We should reach Kamal’s QTH before noon on 15 August. Survey what needed that are not available in his shack. Get them from Muar town which is just 5minutes drive away.
One group shall help put up the tower while another group shall start clearing up the compound to prepare for the night’s makan-makan/BBQ. 9M2NZ shall be leading the tower team. He is the General.
16 August, we shall continue with whatever not finished the previous day and we expect a wrap-up by 1500hrs.
All we need from you is your effort, your presence and probably a little bit of money to supplement for the food.

A note of appreciation to HAM volunteers
Written by Azhar Rais

A special thanks to the main amateur radio communication volunteerswho worked long hours tirelessly to help out to make this event a success.
I know many wanted to be there to help but couldn’t make it due to unforeseen circumstances.
I would like to apologize if I missed out anyone. Please inform me so that I could add you to this list.
A big thanks again and hope next year there will be more volunteers from many other societies and clubs. We look forward to more members so that there would be large enough numbers to parade on the track and participate in the team event /competitions.
At relay for life - Once a year, we all come together as one amateur radio family to help out in charitable event such as this. See you next year !!
