About 300 stray dogs were rounded up by Pulau Ketam residents and deported to an isolated island to fend for themselves. Over half of them are already dead and the remaining ones may not live long. A rescue mission is being mounted and your help is needed.

HAM GIVING BACK TO SOCIETY - RELIEF EFFORT - POS SIMPO / REKOM GUA MUSANG PART TWO SENDING SUPPLIES 1 MAY 2009.
HAM members and 4x4 enthusiast are making another trip to the interior of gua musang forest kampong OA REKOM to send supplies and tools to them. On the last trip, we only manage reach Pos Simpo due to bad weather condition. We hope this time we can reach kg Rekom which is the last and furthest OA kampong along the route to Pos Simpo. Prepared for the worst weather, there will be about ten fully equipped vehicles in the convoy.

We will be collecting items / donations on Wednesday and Thursday night in TTDI area. So far we have a lot of second hand clothes so we cannot accept more clothes. If there are used childrens toys (not too big) or food items we can bring and donate on your behalf. Kindly check with us on space availability nearer the time. We plan to leave KL on thurday night.

May 2nd, 2009 (Saturday); 8:00am. Estimate to last about 3 hours. Registration closes at 8:30am.

Botanical Gardens, Penang and MPPP Park (Youth Park) Area.
Starting Point:
Taman Rekreasi Kuari. ( GPS Location: N5 26 14.7 E100 17 21.5 ) The former quarry site besides the jeep track going up Penang Hill.
